Invitation: November Book Club with Kate Hamilton author of "Mad Wife"
Join us November 19th at 10am PT/1pm ET
If you’d like to support my work and writing, or find value in these conversations, please consider upgrading to a paid subscription of this newsletter or buying a copy of my book!
There’s nothing I love quite like getting a great book recommendation, and that’s exactly what happened when Mad Wife was suggested for the Angry Woman Book Club. With a title like that, how could it not be a perfect fit?
It’s a compelling memoir, written under a pen name, so Kate’s video will be off during our conversation - and we’ll definitely be talking about why she made this (and many other choices) in her book. This book brought up so many fascinating ethical questions about the nature of marriage and memoir and I can’t wait to talk all about it.
Mad Wife is out TODAY (woo hoo! happy pub day!) so get your copy now and devour it before our book club coming up next month on November 19th.
Kate Hamilton is a Professor of English at a university where she teaches literature, literary theory, and women’s writing. She has published numerous academic books and articles on a wide array of authors, and she has given talks and keynote speeches about literature, pedagogy, and sexual violence at conferences and workshops throughout the U.S. and in Europe.
I really hope you can join us live in conversation for The Angry Woman Book Club on Tuesday, November 19th at 10:00am PT/1:00pm ET. I can’t wait to dive into a deep conversation about marriage, coercion, the choices we make when telling our own (and other people’s) stories, and so much more.
The live book club is always free to attend, so invite a friend! You can add it to your google calendar with the zoom link included below:
If you have questions for either of us, you can ask them during the live Q&A or ask them in the comments here. A recording will be made available for paid subscribers who can’t attend live.
