No One Loves An Angry Woman is making progress. It feels like this - the book forging ahead and taking me along for the ride. It’s one of the most mystifying and gratifying parts of writing, this undercurrent that pulls you along word by word. It’s strange how spiritual the whole process has become as I unpack the faith I left behind.

The book is about the many ways Christian culture informs the patriarchal expectations that harm women, but there is more to the story than this. It’s also about how we move forward and heal from toxic messaging, and the tender things we lose in order to make ourselves whole again.

An enormous part of my writing process is the reading I am doing with this book in mind. Earlier this month I shared the first 30 books I was reading or revisiting while writing No One Loves An Angry Woman. Today, I am sharing the next 25 books that are on my TBR list - and I am always adding more, so don’t be shy with the recs in the comments.

If you’ve read any of the titles below, I would love your thoughts. I could talk about books and writing all day every day (actually, that’s exactly what I do - except when I’m teaching yoga). Tell me which ones you’d move to the top of the list - this one is certainly not in reading order yet.
