I absolutely love this article; I feel validated in my rage and despair—and loss of executive function—and I also am happy for a glimmer of hope. I've forwarded this to my daughter and brother to read and also wanted to say I appreciate that your book link is to B&N and not Amazon x

I hate that you’re going through the loss of executive function too — it’s so frustrating — but glad that this helps hope live alongside the rage and despair. It all belongs. (The link usually goes to Bookshop, but it’s out of stock there. My links never go to Amazon!)

Thank you for this entire article. I am one of those that escaped and I am so greatful I did as it has changed the trajectory of my daughter’s life completely! The price to be a generational cycle breaker is immense but it is worth it.

I appreciate the hope you give here as my optimism has faded since the election.

Rageful escapee here, living in an evangelical and Mormon area. This essay was exactly what I needed to read this morning. Thanks.
